Take 5 Minutes for Yourself

We often don’t realize the value of taking five minutes to ourselves during the day. We spend a lot of time trying to get that one extra thing done but our mind, body, and brain need a break.

Today, find a place to sit or lie down alone with as few distractions as possible. The goal here is to accomplish nothing. There are no to-dos in this space, no work to be done, nothing except the experience of being free. Once you’ve found that place, sit or lie there with your eyes closed if possible and just let yourself do nothing. If breathing deeply has become natural by now, add that, but if not, just breathe as your body naturally does.
